Our Commitment to Anonymity
Your anonymity is our top priority. We’ve built the entire TINYpulse experience around this commitment. Here are the ways we protect your anonymity.
- Your responses to Anonymous surveys are always anonymous. Admins can never see who submitted which response.
- Admins can’t see who responds to Anonymous surveys. They can only see how many responses came in (like “47 out of 62 responded to this survey.”)
- We don’t reveal Engage survey results for Anonymous or Confidential surveys unless the organization has five or more employees. If an organization has fewer than five users, we will withhold results until five employees have been invited. We do reveal Engage survey results for Visible surveys sent to less than five users. (To learn more about the different types of surveys, check out “Respond to Anonymous, Confidential, and Visible Surveys”)
- If a company uses our “saved group” feature, at least five employees must be in the group to view filtered results for Anonymous and Confidential surveys. If there are less than five employees in an attribute value, we roll the results into the “all responses” group and the results can’t be filtered by that group.
- Suggestions are always anonymous. However, if your organization turns on Employee Portal, any public comments to an anonymous suggestion are non-anonymous. Commenters will always be notified beforehand that their comment to a suggestion will reveal their identity.
- Admins can private message a survey responder about their response or suggestion and you can respond anonymously if you want. To maintain anonymity, notifications are time-delayed and your identity is never revealed for Anonymous surveys and is never revealed in-app for Confidential surveys. For Visible surveys, your identity will be provided to your admins if you decide to respond back.
- You have the option to send Cheers for Peers anonymously or with your name attached.
- Onboard surveys are non-anonymous to make sure new hires have the tools and training to set them up for success. Once added to the Onboard survey path, the Onboard admin and manager of the new hire will be able to view Onboard survey responses non-anonymously so they can work with the responder to make real-time improvements.
- Coach activity (excluding anonymous 360 Feedback requests) is non-anonymous to help responders align with and report to their manager. Responders for non-anonymous 360 Feedback requests will always be notified that their feedback will reveal their identity.
We stand behind our commitment to anonymity and we would rather retire an account than breach anonymity. At the same time, TINYpulse is not a venue for death threats, bomb threats, terror threats, harassment, or any other criminal or abusive comments. If your survey response, Cheers for Peers, or Suggestion falls under any of these categories, we will review the comments on a case-by-case basis and may reveal the identity of the commenter and/or remove them from active participation in TINYpulse.
