Custom System Email Address
Overview
TINYpulse allows organizations to use a custom system email address instead of the default happiness@tinypulse.com address for TINYpulse system-generated emails.
For example, your organization could use:
- pulse@yourcompany.com
- culture@awesomeco.org
- engagement@yourcompany.com
Using a custom email address helps create a more consistent and recognizable communication experience for your employees.
Benefits of Using a Custom Email Address
A custom system email address can:
- Create a seamless experience by aligning TINYpulse communications with your organization's existing email communications.
- Increase credibility and recognition because emails come from a trusted internal domain.
- Reduce confusion by using an email address employees already recognize as belonging to your organization.
- Provide a consistent communication channel for TINYpulse communications and employee engagement initiatives.
How It Works
Setting up a custom system email address requires coordination between your organization's IT team, TINYpulse Support, and your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Your IT team will need to configure the appropriate email authentication and domain settings, such as SPF and DKIM, to authorize TINYpulse to send emails on behalf of your organization's domain.
Once the configuration is completed and verified, TINYpulse system emails can be sent using your designated custom email address.
Email Allow listing
Your IT team may also need to add the custom email address and/or sending configuration to your organization's safe sender or allow list.
This helps ensure that TINYpulse system emails are delivered successfully and are not blocked or routed to spam by your organization's email security policies.
Custom Email Address Setup
To implement a custom system email address:
- Determine the email address your organization would like to use.
- Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to discuss implementation and requirements.
- Coordinate with your IT team to configure the required domain authentication settings, including SPF and DKIM.
- Add the appropriate email address or sending configuration to your organization's safe sender/allowlist, if required.
- Work with TINYpulse Support to complete and verify the configuration.
- Once setup is complete, TINYpulse system-generated emails will be sent using your organization's designated custom email address.
Note: Your IT team should be involved throughout the setup process to ensure that your organization's email security and domain requirements are properly configured.
Important Considerations
- The custom email address should use a domain owned and managed by your organization.
- Proper email authentication is required to help ensure reliable email delivery.
- Your organization's IT team may need to make changes to its email security or allow listing policies.
- Involving your CSM early in the implementation process can help ensure the setup is properly coordinated.
