How to customize the Subdomain and Login page
Customize subdomain name
To change your subdomain, go to Settings > Platform and select Custom Domain & Branding.
In the Subdomain Name section, click Request Change and enter your preferred subdomain in the text field below the requirements:
- Subdomains can be up to 63 characters long.
- They cannot include special characters such as! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = + | < > { } ; : / ? ., and hyphens are allowed but not at the beginning or end.
- The new subdomain must also be unique and different from your current one.
Once you submit the request, the status will show as In Progress, and an email will be sent to the Admin confirming submission. Processing usually takes up to 3 business days, and during this time, no further changes can be requested. If the subdomain cannot be processed for any reason, your Customer Success Manager (CSM) will reach out to provide support.
When the setup is complete, the subdomain becomes active immediately. The update will appear in the Subdomain Name section and will also be confirmed by email. For additional details or special cases, please refer to our FAQ.
Customize login page
After your custom subdomain is active, you can personalize the login page using the branding tools. Scroll down to the Login Page Settings section and click Edit.
- You can upload a new logo (up to 10MB, in jpeg, jpg, png, or svg format, with a recommended size between 40×40px and 360×140px).
- You can also choose background and header gradient colors, and add custom guide text to help users log in.
- Login options can be toggled on or off for Google, Microsoft, and TINYpulse username. By default, Google and Microsoft are enabled, while the username option is disabled.
- A live preview will show exactly how the login page looks with your changes, and you can restore the default TINYpulse settings at any time.
Once you are satisfied, click Save to apply the updates. These changes take effect immediately and can be adjusted whenever needed.
How to customize Sender Email Name
To change the sender name that employees see in their inbox, go to the Edit Sender Name section and click the Edit button.
Enter your preferred name in the text field following requirements:
- The sender name can be up to 100 characters long
- It cannot include special characters such as ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = + | < > { } ; : / ? ..
Once you click Submit, the new sender name will take effect immediately. Please note that the email address itself will remain happiness@tinypulse.com. If you would like to change the email address, please contact your CSM for further support.
FAQ
Can I change the login page outlook while keeping the default subdomain (app.tinypulse.com)? No. Customizing the login page is only available for organizations using a custom subdomain.
While my request is in progress, can I request another subdomain or update login page settings? You cannot submit a new subdomain request through the application while one is in progress. However, you can contact your CSM if you’d like to update your request. Login page customization is also locked until your new subdomain is active.
After my custom subdomain is active, can my employees still log in via app.tinypulse.com? Yes. Employees can continue to log in through app.tinypulse.com, and after successful login they will be redirected to your custom subdomain.
What happens if I already have a custom subdomain and change it to a new one? When you request a new subdomain (for example, from your-company2025 to your-company2026):
- The old subdomain stays active while the new one is being processed.
- Once the new subdomain is live, the old one remains active for 3 days before being disabled.
Action tip: Announce the change to employees in advance and send reminders during the 3‑day transition so they know when to start using the new subdomain.
Can I revert my subdomain back to app.tinypulse.com? Yes. Please contact your CSM for assistance.
Can I request to change my custom subdomain again after it’s active? Yes. You can submit a new request through the application. Please note that your previous subdomain will become inactive within 3 days, so make sure your employees are informed of the updated domain.
How long does it take for a subdomain change to be completed? Typically, it takes 1-2 business days. You’ll receive email updates throughout the process.
What happens if my subdomain request cannot be processed? If there are issues (such as duplication or technical restrictions), your CSM will contact you directly to provide support and guidance.
